Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, received here today Chief of General Staff, General Hussein bin Abdullah Al-Qabil; Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Hussein; commanders of branches of the Armed Forces; and senior officers who came to console him on the death of the Late Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to pledge allegiance to him as the Crown Prince. Addressing the audience, Crown Prince Salman said, "It's a great honor for me to be entrusted with this post by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and I will do my best to be up to this royal trust. We should always renew and assess our efforts in the service of our religion, King, homeland, and people. According to the King's directives, we will maintain our country's security and stability. The Kingdom which was founded on the Islamic faith will continue on this approach." The audience was attended by Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Prince Naif bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Adviser at the Office of Minister of Defense; and Director General of the Office of Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al-Bunyan.
