Forty seven vessels crossed the Suez Canal today carrying a total of 2,685,000 tons, it was reported.
In a statement, an official source of Suez Canal Authority said the caravan heading northwards contained 24 vessels laden with 1,301,000 tons while the caravan crossing the waterway towards the south was composed of 23 vessels carrying a total payload of 1,384,000 tons.
