German Chancellor Angela Merkel said Friday that eurozone leaders would "work closer together politically" to solve the economic crisis, dpa reported. "It is the right signal that we invest an additional 1 per cent of the GDP of the eurozone in growth," she added. "We will work together on what I call a political union," Merkel said at a news conference with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti, French President Francois Hollande and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy. "The lesson from the crisis is not less Europe, but more Europe," she said.
