Egyptian Military Council To Announce Officially Winner of Presidential Runoff On Thursday

Egypt's Official Middle East News Agency (MENA) disclosed here today that the winner of the presidential runoff held this weekend will be officially announced on Thursday.
In a Monday report, it quoted Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Assar, a member of the Council as saying the handing over of power to the newly elected President will take place in a "grand ceremony," at the end of this month. He gave no exact date, according to a report of the Associated Press.
The Presidential runoff was between Mohammed Morsi, who heads Freedom and Justice Party and Ahmed Shafiq, the former Egyptian prime minister.
