The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) signed today an agreement on the Agency's permanent headquarters in Abu Dhabi to enable the Agency to carry out its tasks as an international organization. The agreement was signed by UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Mohammed Qarqash and IRENA Director General Adnan Amin. The agreement of the permanent headquarters is the first of its kind to be signed in the Middle East, which is in completion of an agreement of the temporary headquarters signed between the two sides in October, 2010.
