The Dragon spacecraft was docked to the International Space Station Friday, becoming the first private craft ever to reach the orbiting laboratory, according to dpa. Dragon had slowly approached the station over the course of several hours, coming to within metres of the ISS, before astronauts inside the station used a robotic arm to grab the craft. Astronauts then took about two hours to manoeuvre the capsule into place to its temporary home on the station's Harmony module, where it was attached at 1602 GMT and bolted into place.
