Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic cooperation Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu will participate in the conference "Friends of Yemen" to be held in Riyadh tomorrow and will focus on supporting Yemen in its current transitional phase. Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Ambassador Ataa Al-Mannan Bakheet said that within the framework of interest of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the humanitarian situation in Yemen, it has in consultation with its international partners in this regard, formed a joint international mission that is expected to include representatives from the Department of Humanitarian Affairs of the Organization, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the European Union, the Arab League and The Gulf Cooperation Council. It is expected that the mission will arrive in the Yemeni capital - Sana'a in early June. The mission aims to highlight the humanitarian crisis faced by Yemen.
