JEDDAH: A delegation of high officials of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) visited King Abdullah Economic City, Tuesday. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ali, President of IDB, members of the Board of Executive Directors of the bank and heads of institutions, were welcomed by Prof. Fahd Bin Abdul Mohsen Rashid, Managing Director and Executive Chief Officer at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and Amro Bin Abdullah Al-Dabbagh, Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA). Prof. Muhammad Bin Abdul Mohsen Hilal, Secretary General of the organization of the economic cities, explained to the IDB delegation the functioning of the KAEC and various measures to develop it. Prof. Fahd Al-Rasheed presented a visual presentation and explained the workflow in the economic city, and the latest developments and achievements in infrastructure and buildings in various locations. The two sides exchanged cordial views and ways to develop cooperation and joint action between them. “We saw investment opportunities which are very attractive. The IDB extends cooperation to leading economic organizations which have an influential role in promoting development and social progress,” said Dr. Ali. “The King Abdullah Economic City embodies the growth and prosperity of the Kingdom, strengthens the Kingdom's economic position and confirms its superiority over much of the world,” he added.
