NEWMARKET: Blue Bunting, ridden by Frankie Dettori for Sheikh Mohammed's Godolphin stable, snatched victory in the 1,000 Guineas here Sunday. Blue Bunting came with a determined late run on the stands rail to deny favorite Aidan O'Brien's outsider Together with Maqaasid in third. Blue Bunting, trained by Godolphin's new trainer Mahmood Al-Zarooni, was advertising her credentials for the Oaks at Epsom, her main target. Dettori said: “She's more of an Oaks filly, whatever she did today was always going to be a bonus. The Oaks is the target.”
