LONDON: Former winner Northampton set up a Heineken Cup final showdown with Leinster later this month after a 23-7 defeat of Perpignan Sunday. First-half tries from Ben Foden and Jon Clarke helped the 2000 winner to establish a 20-7 halftime lead and despite conceding a try on 40 minutes it never looked back, with flyhalf Stephen Myler adding 13 points with the boot. Perpignan, the 2003 runner-up, was ragged from the start. Northampton, bidding to be the first English winner since Wasps in 2007, will play 2009 champion Leinster in the final on May 21 at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
