MAKKAH: A father here has blamed doctors at a local government hospital for the death of his 12-year-old daughter, Shurooq. Ibrahim Muhammad Al-Juaid, said the medical team at the hospital had refused to move her to another hospital after examining her and recommending that she be moved. He tried to transport her with his own car, but when her condition deteriorated, the hospital decided to admit her to its intensive care unit. She died two weeks later. Health Affairs in Makkah has now referred the case to a Medical Errors Committee for further investigation. Al-Juaid said his daughter suffered from kidney failure. Faeq Hussein, spokesman for the Health Affairs in Makkah, said the complaint will be processed and action will be taken against the guilty. The primary procedure in such a case is to ban those involved from traveling.
