Malaysia may be flocked by over 50,000 tourists from the Kingdom this year. Reflecting the appropriate tourist time, Malaysian Airlines has launched its new website, www.malaysiaairlines.com in the Kingdom, to cater to demands of Saudis for more information about the country. The website facilities can be availed in the Kingdom by the end of the summer. “The number of travelers from the Kingdom to Malaysia is higher than last year. This is because Malaysia is an ideal destination offering quality within affordability,” Shahrun Nawi, sales manager of Malaysia Airlines said. “The launch of the website is in line with the Business Transformation Plan, providing customers with a substantial reason to visit the website, while also easing their travel plans and purchase of air tickets,” Dr. Amin Khan, Malaysia Airlines' senior general manager, transition management, said. The website has user-friendly features and facilitates browsing, navigation, booking and purchase of air tickets. “In an attempt to make the website more compelling, its content will be localized according to each overseas market. “The website will be interactive, allowing customers to upload stories and videos,” Khan added. By September this year, additional languages, Malay, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, French and German, will be offered, accessible from over 22 countries websites. The Everyday Low Fares product offering has helped to springboard Internet penetration to 30 percent. With the new website, the Internet penetration is expected to rise up to 60 percent by 2010. __
