ESTORIL, Portugal: Jorge Lorenzo had the fastest lap time Saturday to claim pole position for the Portuguese Grand Prix ahead of Marco Simoncelli and Dani Pedrosa. The Spaniard covered the 4.182-km Estoril circuit in 1 minute, 37.161 seconds on his Yamaha, beating Honda's Simoncelli by 0.133 seconds. Pedrosa was third, 0.163 behind Lorenzo. Australian Casey Stoner came fourth and Valentino Rossi of Italy was ninth. Stefan Bradl of Germany claimed the Moto2 pole in 1:41.591. Spain's Nicolas Terol rode his Aprilia to pole in the 125cc category in 1:46.556.
