Harley Davidson claims Al-Turki trophy

ALKHOBAR: Harley Davidson claimed the First Division Al-Turki Knock-Out Tournament trophy by beating Asia-XI by 82 runs in the final here recently.
Electing to bat Harley Davidson first scored 303 runs all out in the 38th over and then bowled out Asia-XI for 221 in the 32nd over to claim the win in the event sponsored by Al-Turki Group and organized by the Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA).
Mohsin played the anchor role for Harley Davidson as he scored a majestic century, studded with 14 boundaries and two towering sixes in his 114 runs.
Harley Davidson lost opener Adarsh with the score on 17. Mohsin joined Arshad and took the total to 76 in the 10th when Arshad (25) threw away his wicket to a loose shot. The team suffered another blow when Tahrim was out without scoring.
Tahir and Mohsin then put on 55 runs for the fourth wicket before Tahir was gone after scoring 38 off the bowling of Khalid, who also clean bowled Ram with the next delivery. Tajammul then added 58 runs, while Shiab and Badar chipped in with 20 and 18 useful runs.
Asif was the most successful bowler for Asia XI with figures of 4-59. Qasim claimed 3-39 and Khalid 2-66.
Chasing the big target Asia XI could manage only 221 runs as it was bundled out in the 32nd over. Iftikhar was the top-scorer with 62 runs. Khalid added 38 runs, Shafiq 24 and Waqas 23.
Mohsin showed his class as a true all-rounder when he also shone with the ball and claimed three wickets for 47 runs. Ram, Tajammul and Usman claimed two wickets each.
In the first semifinal Harley Davidson crushed SST Green by 111 runs. Batting first Harley Davidson scored 365 runs for the loss of five wickets in 40 overs. Ram Ganesh remained not out on 117 runs, while Arshad Mahmood added 61, Mohsin 35, Adarsh 33, Tajammul 38 and Badar 34. Idrees, Shiraz, Talha and Sadoon took a wicket each for SST Green. In reply SST Green was all out for 254 runs in the 37th over. Haziq Khan and Talha scored half centuries. Fahad added 36 runs and usman 24. Osman Ghani took 4-45 while Tajammul and Shiab khan bagged two wickets each for Harley Davidson.
The other semifinal saw Asia XI beat BinDalmah-XI by 45 runs. Asia XI batted first and scored 282 runs. Asif scored 72 runs, Shafiq 47, Amin 42 and Ajim 32. Bharat and Salem took two wickets each.
In reply Bindalmah-XI was all out for 237 runs in the 36th over. Salim scored a fine half century while shakeel scored 24 runs, Sunada 27, Dsilva 27 and Manoj 26. Ishaq took four wickets, while Qasim and Iftikhar bagged two wickets each.
