BISHA: The High Court in Bisha has ruled that a Filipina nurse must pay back SR720,000 owed to a trader in Sawa prepaid mobile telephone cards. The nurse works as a physiotherapy technician at King Abdullah Hospital in Bisha. Okaz has a copy of the court's verdict. The plaintiff, identified only as N.Sh., said the Filipina nurse's trade in Sawa cards began on Feb. 15, 2010. “She received Sawa cards from us to sell to her fellow countrymen. She started with SR15,000 and signed invoices when she received the cards. She paid regularly until she won our trust and then received Sawa cards worth over SR700,000. “After two months, she stopped paying. When I failed to get the money she owed me, I filed a lawsuit at the court. She admitted receiving the whole quantity of cards worth SR720,000. “An agreement was reached that she repay the amount in monthly installments of SR30,000 per month, but she failed to pay and three months passed. So I returned to the court, which gave her four more months to pay, until May 17, 2011.” The plaintiff asked why the court had not asked the nurse where she kept the money. The plaintiff was also astonished that the court gave her a grace period without a guarantor, had not barred her from traveling and allowed her to continue working at the hospital. Sources told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the nurse was allegedly involved in conning other people to the tune of SR400,000. These people had also filed lawsuits against her.
