MAKKAH: Fire broke out in Makkah's Ajyad district Friday morning, killing a Pakistani before Civil defense firefighters were able to control the blaze, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. Lieutenant Colonel Ali Al-Montashari, Director of Investigation and Media Spokesman at the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Makkah, said the blaze broke out at 7:43 A.M. at the Be'ar Balilah hotel. “Twelve divisions of the civil defense were able to control the blaze, which broke out at 7:43 this morning in the hotel named Be'ar Balilah, housing about 250 pilgrims of different nationalities,” he said in a statement.
