RIYADH: A cornucopia of Chinese delights await visitors to the Chinese Food Festival at the Al-Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel. The food festival kicked off on April 21 and will go through April 29 at the hotel's La Brasserie Restaurant which has been given a Chinese motif. The food to be served range from sweet-smoky barbeques to Cantonese specialities, dim sum, aromatic Chinese teas and traditional pastries. Beyond the culinary masterpieces created by the Chinese chefs, the festival also offers a feast of Chinese entertainment, including instrumental music, oriental calligraphy and Shoaling martial arts. Chinese tea ceremony will also be featured in the nine-day event. Dignitaries from many countries will join Chinese Ambassador Yang Honglin and officials from the Chinese embassy Thursday for the festival's official opening. “With rich cultural history and wide global appeal for its cuisine, China has much to offer,” said Peter Finamore, managing director of Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, owned by the Al-Khozama Management Company.
