DAMMAM: Security officers and staff managed to quell a fight that broke out between inmates at the Dammam correction facility in the early hours of Monday morning. The inmates had apparently started fighting with sticks after a heated discussion. The security guards cordoned off the dormitory where the quarrel took place and isolated the inmates before summoning the police. Some of the inmates involved in the quarrel were referred to the police station in western Dammam. Col. Nahet Al-Ghamdi, spokesman for the Prisons Administration, urged all the inmates to abide by the administration's rules. He said the administration had called the police as a precautionary measure.
