KIEV: Prince Khaled Bin Sultan, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Military Affairs, met with the Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Yezhel, here Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern. During the meeting, the two also discussed aspects of cooperation in the defense sector. Prince Khaled thanked the Ukrainian government for its warm hospitality and also stressed the deep-rooted relations between the two countries and the importance of his visit. Present at the meeting were the Kingdom's Ambassador to Ukraine Judiya Z. Al-Hathal members of the accompanying delegation and senior officials of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. Prince Khaled also visited the Ukrainian National War Museum and was briefed on its contents and viewed a documentary film on the history of the Republic of Ukraine. He also visited the Antonov aircraft company accompanied by the Ukranian Deputy Defense Minister, where he was received by the company's director. He toured the company's different section and viewed the variety of aircraft it manufactures. In November, 2010, a Ukrainian delegation led by Yurii Alekseev, Director-General of the Ukrainian National Space Agency, visited the Kingdom, during which time an agreement was concluded on cooperation in the area of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
