BOSTON: Japanese star Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched one-hit ball for seven innings and Jed Lowrie had four hits to help the Boston Red Sox extend their winning streak to three games with a 9-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays Monday. Matsuzaka (1-2) gave up a single to Jose Bautista with two outs in the first inning. He then walked Travis Snider with two outs in the second before seeing off his final 16 batters. Matsuzaka, who has struggled this season and entered the game with a 12.86 ERA, matched the fewest number of base-runners he's allowed in his 101 major league starts. Lowrie, Kevin Youkilis and Jacoby Ellsbury all homered for Boston, which had opened the season with a miserable 2-10 record. Lowrie has 15 hits in his last 24 at-bats. Giants rout Rockies Tim Lincecum took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and three Giants batters homered as San Francisco routed the Colorado Rockies 8-1 in the National League Monday. Lincecum (2-1) dominated the Rockies, the best team in MLB over the first 2½ weeks of the season, until Carlos Gonzalez broke up his no-hit bid with a single in the seventh. Lincecum, the two-time Cy Young Award winner who led the Giants to the World Series title last year, allowed one run and three hits and struck out 10 batters over 7 2-3 innings. Pat Burrell, Nate Schierholtz and Freddy Sanchez all homered for the Giants. Esmil Rogers (2-1) allowed eight runs over three innings in just the second loss by a Rockies starter this season.
