JEDDAH: Judicial sources disclosed that the Jeddah Court is looking into 17 cases related to cyber crimes after the cases were referred by the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution. Dr. Omar Al-Khouli, Professor of Law at King Abdulaziz University, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that issuing an accurate verdict requires referring to regulations relating to publications and those relating to cyber crimes. According to Article Six of the regulation for combating cyber crimes, the maximum penalties are a five-year jail sentence and a SR3 million fine, Dr. Al-Khouli pointed out.
