DAMMAM: The Eastern Province woke up to a cloudy morning Friday. Strong winds continued to lash the region as several areas are experiencing scattered rains with thunder and lightning since Wednesday evening. The Presidency of Meteorology and Environment had reported light to moderate rains in most parts of Dammam, Khobar, Al- Hassa, Qatif, Khafji, Ras Tanura and Jubail. It said the inclement weather was to continue for the next couple of days.Some areas of Dammam and Al-Khobar received light drizzle in the morning and scattered rains in other areas in the later part of the day. Residents of Jubail, Al-Hassa and some parts of Qatif reported heavy rains late Thursday. Sky remained cloudy all day through with occasional drizzles which at times turned heavy.
