BATIN: High winds created a sandstorm that uprooted trees, blew down house doors, and damaged traffic lights and street signs across the Hafr Al-Batin region Tuesday. Police warned motorists to proceed with extreme caution as emergency services and hospitals were put on alert in anticipation of a rise in the number of accidents. Al-Qaysouma Hospital saw an increase in the number of chest complaints and asthma patients during the first hours of the storm.
