Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh Region, and Chairman of the Supreme Authority for the Development of Riyadh, chaired a joint meeting involving the authority and the Supreme Executive Committee for projects and planning in the capital. During the meeting, contracts for construction of grids to lower the level of underground water in the districts of Al-Sahafa, Al-Rabie', Al-Waha, Tuwaig and Al-Fawaz were awarded. The water level has begun to rise and has become contaminated with elements on the surface. This plan will help in lowering the water level to lower depths in order to remain it viable. Construction of six new private hotels in different areas of the city was also endorsed during the meeting . Plans to build new health facilities were also approved. They will include a new hospital in Al-Khaleej as well as an administrative medical building in Al-Nakhil district. Additonally the implementation of a number of investment projects including large office buildings in Al-Ahsaa, Al-Maathar and Al-Salmaniyah districts, and the College of Tourism and Hotels project in Salah Al-Din district were approved by the Emir. __
