RIYADH: The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) has formed a high committee to promote tourism conferences and exhibitions, SCTA President Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, has said. “The move follows a Cabinet decision seeking to promote tourism conferences and exhibitions,” he said. “The committee will have on it members from various government departments”. The committee will be chaired by Abdullah Zainal Ali Reza, Minister of Trade and Industry. Prince Sultan said the Kingdom is fully capable of staging such events. “We possess all the factors required for their success, such as road networks, administrative services, airports, hotels and qualified Saudi staff which form the cornerstone of the tourism industry,” he said.
