RIYADH: King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is scheduled to patronize the 26th National Festival for Heritage and Culture “Al-Janadriya”, which is organized annually by the National Guard. Abdul Mohsen Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Twaijiri, Assistant Deputy Commander of the National Guard and Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Festival, made this announcement at a press conference at the National Guards' headquarters here Tuesday. Al-Twaijiri spoke on behalf of Prince Mit'eb Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of State and Member of the Council of Ministers and Commander of the National Guard. Also at the conference was the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom. Japan is the festival's guest of honor this year. Al-Twaijiri said the festival will kick off next Wednesday with the annual Grand Camel Race in the presence of the King.
