MAKKAH: A couple in Makkah has been held for investigation after their housemaid was found dead Thursday in the bathroom of their house with signs of having suffered physical aggression. The spokesman for Makkah Police said the investigation has been taken up by a specialist body at the Bureau of Investigation and Prosecution. “The death was reported by the female sponsor after the victim collapsed in their bathroom in the Al-Khalidiya District,” the spokesman said. “The body displayed signs of physical abuse and was taken to King Faisal Hospital for an autopsy.” The Saudi woman sponsor was taken into custody along with her husband for investigation after the primary medical report stated that the victim had died as a result of her injuries.
