Jeddah Police arrested four expatriates for impersonating Saudi nationals, using Saudi identity cards bought from Yemen. Each procured jobs in four factories owned by private establishments and worked there for six months. The four expatriates allegedly had entered Jeddah using their forged Saudi identity cards, looked for work by impersonating Saudi nationals and got jobs in private companies, Al-Madina said Thursday. The Financial Crimes Combat Unit (FCCU) was tipped by a source on the existence of four Yemenis holding Saudi identity cards. A security team was formed to verify the report from the source with a follow up by Jeddah Director of Police Ali Bin Muhammad Al-Sa'di Al-Ghamdi. The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer was able to arrest the four impersonators who admitted to impersonating Saudis and provided police with their true identities. They also admitted to buying the Saudi identity cards from Yemen. They said they were planning to get introduction letters from the companies they were working for to get financial loans from banks as well for other purposes to acquire as much money as possible. Jeddah Police Spokesman Col. Misfar Al-Je'aid said the security men exposed the four expatriates and they have been arrested. Investigations are being carried out to get more information before they are handed over to the concerned authorities. – Al
