JEDDAH: Paolo Allego gripped when his Game 1 in finals heightened his aspiration and had Game 2 confirmed his dream after convincingly humbling Emil Payongayong, Danny Mariza and Johnny Macalintal in their four-bowler race sudden death battle of the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group quest for bowlers of April 2011 at the Bowling City here. With less than two-year bowling career, Gulf Oil office staff Allego started his dream pursuit by qualifying No. 5 with 790 looking down on last-berth qualifier Edres Magondae with 787. Class D top finisher was the defending champion Rolly Vistal (848) who skipped the shootout match against Rudy Carillo (830), Ronnie de Castro (827), Johndy Cantara (810), Allego and Mangondae. Five-pin elusion from the closest rival de Castro at 196-191 made Allego head-on with Vistal in two-game class championship wherein the campaigner lopsidedly beat the defender on games of 252-224 and 223-196. Climbing to the overall championship Allego shall be entangling against other class champions: Class A top qualifier Payongayong beat Joel Nidoy (395-337), Macalintal survived Class B top qualifier Marcelo Manalo (376-362) and Manriza outlasted Class C top finisher Abdulfatta Mogawan (379-370). Nidoy faced Payongayong after 238-wallop of Ed Sardi?a, Ric Reformado and Bobby Baraquel. Macalintal routed Melvin Lising, Cesar Monares, Ferdie Coloma, Jun Estefano and Ruben Gri?o with a 231. Manriza eliminated Marlon Heredia, Jett Santos, Ric Tibayan, Edward Botardo and Nards Hassan with his 214. On the pinnacle match, Allego capitalized his handicapped with 215 scratch to carry 239 into ultimate fight. Threatening closely was Manriza with 225, while Payongayong and Macalintal kept distance with 213 and 193. Allego's stiffness was then tested on the last game wherein Payongayong was rigidly chasing with string of strikes. Luckily Allego enabled to respond with defensive marks to survive those nerving blows. Allego clinched the male FEDBG April 2011 title with 434 including his 195 crucial resistance. Payongayong ranked second, Manriza was third and Macalintal was fourth. In the ladies division, Pinky Acato enabled to go clear widely on Game 1 then traded marks with fellow finalists Eloisa Fernandez, Alma Baylon and Alona Antinero on the endgame to safeguard her bid to the women's title. Actually Acato (774) was second to top qualifier and instant Group AB finalist Baylon (790) and has to battle defending champion May Lourdes who ranked third with 773 after four-game elimination.
