JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed a new Air Transport agreement to update air transport services between the two countries. The agreement enables the two parties to appoint multiple airlines to serve the air transport market between them, and increase the rate of scheduled flights for each appointed company to 70 a week, from a previous 33 flights weekly. It also allows marketing alliances and a better investment of transport rights. It will contribute to increasing air traffic movement in general between the two countries given the increasing demand. Dr. Faisal Bin Hamad Al-Suqair, Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, and Major General Mir Haider Ali Khan, Secretary of Pakistan's Ministry of Defense, signed the agreement.
