RIYADH: Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, received here on Sunday evening Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Sharif, the President of the Anti-Corruption National Commission. Prince Naif congratulated Al-Sharif on his appointment and wished him success. Prince Naif said Al-Sharif should appoint trusted and wise men who are capable of performing the tasks of the commission. He added that all government departments and ministries must cooperate with the commission, including the Interior Ministry and its departments.?? Prince Naif said that fighting corruption was like taking on a disease. “All doors should be open to you to perform your duties sincerely, faithfully and easily.” Prince Naif stressed that the Royal Decree issued by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, is to continue the fight against corruption as part of a policy adopted by the Council of Ministers in 2007. “Moreover, the direct linkage of the commission to the King reflects his keenness to clear away any obstacles restricting the commission in its tasks, as well as providing it with the direct support of the Saudi leadership.”? The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials.
