JEDDAH: The Ministry of Culture and Information's Department of International Cultural Relations is to introduce new procedures and create a database for Saudi artists, poets and other persons active in culture to involve them in the Saudi cultural weeks held abroad. Salih Al-Mughailith, the recently-appointed Deputy Minister for International Cultural Relations, said that the move would help involve all persons working in arts, culture and crafts in the frequent events and Saudi cultural weeks held in other countries. “The office of International Cultural Relations is taking part in the next few days in the Prague Exhibition as guest of honor as well as in an event in Russia in collaboration with the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, and another function in Algeria celebrating the selection of the town of Tlemcen as Islamic Capital of Culture,” Al-Mughailith said.
