BURIADA: Craftswomen from Qassim's Cooperative Multipurpose Women's Society, Hirfa, are participating in the annual five-day Travel and Tourist Investment Forum 2011 starting here Sunday. The Hirfa pavilion displays wooden and embroidery works, popular food and sweets, souvenirs, carpets and paintings. The forum is being held to identify the opinions of tourism investors, the types of products the market requires, and what souvenirs would reflect the culture of the country and would be bought by tourists. Nawal Al-Ajaji, deputy chairwoman of Hirfa, said this is the second time they will be participating. “The participation in 2010 was successful. Through this participation, Hirfa seeks to open new markets for the products of our craftswomen and to have a percentage of the souvenir market for them,” she said.
