JEDDAH: Aalami Urdu Markaz is organizing its fourth grand Mushaira (poetic evening) here on March 31, Athar Abbasi, president of the organization, said in a press statement. Aalami Urdu Markaz is a leading literary society that has to its credit, apart from regular literary gatherings, three memorable consecutive annual Mushairas which began in 2008. Leading poets from Pakistan and elsewhere have consented to attend the Mushairah, Abbasi said. The Mushaira, its main objective being promotion of Urdu and quality literary culture, is being organized under the auspices of the Consulate General of Pakistan and as part of Pakistan Day celebrations.
