Jeddah: Over 36,000 vehicles and real estate properties were damaged by the flash floods that hit Jeddah last January, Jeddah deputy governor said Sunday. The damage was surveyed by committees from Jeddah Governorate and the Civil Defense, said Muhammad Al-Wafi. Additional committees from the Ministries of Interior and Finance were able to witness 28,778 damaged vehicles and properties in flood-hit districts in Jeddah, he added. Al-Wafi has called on owners of damaged vehicles and properties to report to the committees spread across the city to have an estimate of the damage and get compensated accordingly.
