AQIQ/BURAIDAH/DHAMD: Saudi jobseekers in Jeddah were found to be singing the national anthem after hearing the announcement that they will be entitled to SR2,000 a month in unemployment benefit. “The orders have solved the problems of unemployment,” said Omar Al-Nadir. “The rulings from the King of Humanitarianism are like bandages to a wound.” Hamid Asiri said the Ministry of Labor should now put greater pressure on the business community and companies to bring fully into effect regulations as announced by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. “The important thing is to begin registering unemployed jobseekers as quickly as possible and beginning issuing payments within a month,” he said. The orders issued Friday pave the way to reducing unemployment by 25 percent, through the creation of thousands of jobs in various sectors which are expected to leave the total number of jobseekers at approximately 187,000. The feelings of delight and happiness were shared by the rest of the public who offered up prayers to protect the King for his people and country as royal decrees were issued Friday. The young and the old said: “May Allah save you for us Abu Mit'eb” and that “this generosity is evidence of his care for all the people in all regions.” Ahmad Al-Muhandis, a Jeddah resident, said providing housing for residents shows the King is close to the concerns of the Saudi public. “These wise decisions mainly pour into the interests of the citizens,” he said. Muhammad Abdul Aziz said, “With these orders the housing problems will be gone forever.” Muhammad Abdullah Al-Hamr, Sheikh of Aal Hullah tribe, said he and other members of the tribe are grateful to King Abdullah and called on all citizens to follow the leaders' good judgment. “On behalf of the tribe's sons, the young and old, the men and women, we submit our thanks to the King and assert our obedience and allegiance to our ruler and our willingness to give our lives to our precious country,” he said. “We call on all sons of this country to not respond to deviant thoughts and to follow our leadership's and scholars' sane, wise and balanced views.” Muhammad Mashri, a school principal, said the decrees help all members of society and reflect the leadership's benevolence. “The good of the decrees has reached everybody, which shows the leader's wisdom, love to his people and his search for guarantees for the citizens' well-being.” The Head of Al-Jawa Rural Center in Alaqiq Governorate, Daraan Al-Shahrani, said the King's speech and decrees, which addressed health, society, finance and employment, carried great meanings and had the greatest impact on everybody. Abdullah Ayed, Misfer Muhammad, Muhammad Hussien, Ali Shuraim and Saleh Saad, all expressed their delight for “this generosity that benefited everybody without exception.” “Every day the King graces us with his kind gestures and we respond to his love with love and say thank you King may Allah protect you for this country, said Muhammad Mahdi. Many other residents praised the King and the decrees regarding housing and creating 60,000 military positions, and said he is no stranger to seeking prosperity for all. “These generous decrees that are valued by everybody come to support the development course of the country,” one person said.
