NAJRAN: Prince Misha'l Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Najran, said that King Abdullah's speech Friday provided “conclusive evidence of his great love and appreciation for his people”. “He gets strength and resolve from the sons of the soil who serve as a safety valve for the country's unity,” the Najran emir said. He described the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as also “reflecting his great concern for the brave security men, the shield of this country and the hand that strikes against whoever tries to undermine its safety and stability”. The prince cited as prominent among the Royal Decrees the financing for the construction of 500,000 residential units across the Kingdom and the increase in the loan ceiling of the Real Estate Development Fund from SR300,000 to SR500,000. “The decrees reflect King Abdullah's determination and resolve for Saudis to lead dignified lives with suitable housing for their families,” he said. Muhammad Al-Issa, Minister of Justice, meanwhile, said the decrees sought the “well-being and prosperity of the people”. “His moral and financial support for the military and Shariah institutions is evident in the huge allocations granted to both of them,” Al-Issa said. Abdul Aziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that the Royal Decrees were “historic” and lauded the “unique cohesion between the wise leadership and the noble Saudi people”. Khoja said that the Royal Orders would “flow into the public interest continuously”. “They will not stop. They are comprehensive, covering all aspects of life, and are an extension of previous orders,” he said. “The Saudi people will see their effect on daily life, providing employment and housing, as well as health and education facilities.” Ibrahim Al-Assaf, Minister of Finance, said the orders for two monthly salaries to be paid to state employees and two bursaries for higher education students includes the retired and the students on scholarships abroad. “The ministry has begun carrying through the orders issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and determining allocations,” Al-Assaf said, and promised: “It will be done quickly and thoroughly.” Shoura Council to examine regulations Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Aal Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Shoura Council, said the body would look at the Royal Orders in detail to discuss the laws and regulations required for their execution. The process, he told Okaz/Saudi Gazette Friday, would begin when the King refers the orders to the Council. “The orders match the ambitions and hopes of the people,” Aal Al-Sheikh said. “They cover all areas of what the people of Saudi Arabia require. Words cannot describe the feeling at the fatherly gesture, but what we can always say is that Almighty Allah is the protector of this country that is ruled with His Shariah and the granter of success to the rulers who have been always beside the citizen. “On behalf of all members of the Shoura Council, I thank Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier, and we pray for the country to remain strong and prosperous.”
