Khomayes brace helped Al-Ta'awon beat visitor Al-Ahli 2-1 in a round-20 match of the Zain Saudi Professional League in Buraidah Friday. Host Al-Faisali downed Al-Qadisiyah by the same margin in Al-Majma'ah city also Friday. Brazilian midfielder Marcinho Rocha da Silva put Ahli in the lead in the 57th minute before striker Badr Al-Khomayes leveled the score for Ta'awon from the spot five minutes later. Al-Khomayes, however, scored again five minutes before time to hand Ta'awon three points. The winner moved up two spots to sit 11th on the standings with 19 points; a six-goal difference keeping it behind Al-Wehdah, which has the same number of points. Ahli remaines eighth on 24 points. A similar scenario occurred in the other match as Tunisian defender Moine Chaabani put Qadisiyah one up 10 minutes after the break. Albanian striker Migen Memelli, however, leveled the match in the 75th minute before scoring the second goal seconds before time. Faisali remains sixth on 32 points; a point behind Al-Nasr and Al-Shabab, which lie fourth and fifth, respectively. Qadisiyah, however, slipped to the 12th spot with 18 points, but with a match in hand.
