RIYADH: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has extended its support to the five-day Saudi Construction Show scheduled to begin here March 21. The ministry's approval has come at a time when King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has announced a multi-billion riyal cash boost gift to the housing sector and other projects. As the first major outdoor show in the Kingdom dedicated entirely to construction machinery, the show and exhibition will showcase the latest equipment, products, services and technology in the industry. The event is bringing contractors and suppliers together. It will also feature live demonstrations. The Saudi Construction Show is licensed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The Expedition Center, located at Khreas and Sheikh Jaber Road is approved by Riyadh Municipality. The show is organized by Green Construction Company, Ltd. (GCC) with marketing done by Megapixel Middle East, FZ LLC (MME). Exhibitors include Medco, Abahasain, Kanoo Group, AAA, Saudi Diesel Equiptment and Zahid Tractor. Plans for the show include one of largest formwork and scaffolding displays in the internal area, four live demonstrations and a fully fitted exhibition space for hard construction contractors.
