RIYADH: The 100 Saudi nationals still in Japan will be evacuated within the next 48 hours, said Prince Khaled Bin Saud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tuesday. He said 60 Saudis have already arrived in the Kingdom He said the embassy's operations room and the ministry had at first worked on transporting Saudis from Tokyo to Osaka after the recent explosions at a nuclear facility, in a procedure aimed at protecting them from the increase in radiation.He said they will now be traveling through Japan's neighboring countries; the Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore and China. The ministry avoided getting Saudi Arabian Airlines to send airplanes to Japan for evacuating Saudi nationals, because this might have resulted in delays.
