Juhani, Vice President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), has described tourism in the Kingdom as having a “promising future” but that in terms of organization it is “still in its initial stages”. “We are on the first steps of the path, and we have to give it (tourism) a chance.” Al-Juhani said at a press conference to announce details of the Saudi Tourism and Investment Forum scheduled for the end of this month. “Tourism contributes 3.2 percent of the gross domestic product, and we hope that it will rise to nine percent.”
