borne dust which has been hitting Jeddah recently is due to north-eastern winds which have reduced visibility in the center and west of the Kingdom, according to Professor Mansour Al-Mazroui, head of the Meteorology Department and supervisor of the Climate Change Center at Jeddah's King Abdul Aziz University. He said Jeddah may see medium rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday. He said the wind activity precedes weather instability that is expected to start Tuesday over the country's western and south-western parts. “Climate indicators show south-western areas and Makkah region will witness Tuesday some dust-moving winds as well as formations of medium and low-level clouds,” he said. He said there is a possibility of medium to heavy rainfall in these areas, especially in the high areas and the southern coastal areas of Makkah region.
