PITTSBURGH: Carey Price made 26 saves for his eighth shutout of the season and 12th overall as the Montreal Canadiens beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-0 in the NHL Saturday. Tomas Plekanec, Travis Moen and Mike Cammalleri scored for Montreal. The Canadiens, two points behind fifth-place Boston in the Eastern Conference standings, have won six of their past seven games. Price has only allowed seven goals in starting the past six games. The Canadiens were without Max Pacioretty, who sustained a severe concuss. Red Wings 5, Blues 3: In St. Louis, Pavel Datsyuk scored the go-ahead goal late in the third period as Detroit came back to beat St. Louis after squandering a two-goal lead. Jimmy Howard earned his NHL-leading 17th road win for the Red Wings, who have won two straight after a season-worst four-game losing streak. Ruslan Salei, Darren Helm, Niklas Kronwall and Justin Abdelkader also scored for Detroit. Adam Cracknell scored his first NHL goal for the Blues, and David Backes and Matt D'Agostini each added a goal to even the score at 3 early in the third before Detroit pulled away. Maple Leafs 4, Sabres 3: In Toronto, Mikhail Grabovski and Phil Kessel scored in a 2:33 span early in the third period to lead Toronto past Buffalo. Clarke MacArthur and Tyler Bozak also scored to help Toronto end a three-game losing streak and move back within four points of the final two playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. Mike Weber, Jochen Hecht and Jordan Leopold scored for Buffalo. Thrashers 5, Flyers 4, OT: In Philadelphia, Ron Hainsey scored at 1:17 of overtime as Atlanta overcame a 3-0 third-period deficit and Ville Leino's first career hat trick to beat Philadelphia. Canucks 4, Flames 3: In Calgary, Alberta, Daniel Sedin scored two goals and added an assist to push his NHL-leading points total to 89 in Vancouver's victory over Calgary. Rangers 3, Sharks 2, SO: In San Jose, California, Brandon Dubinsky scored the winning goal in the sixth round of the shootout as New York edged San Jose. Devils 3, Islanders 2, OT: In Newark, New Jersey, Anssi Salmela scored his first goal of the season 3:09 into overtime for New Jersey. Panthers 4, Lightning 3, OT: In Sunrise, Florida, Jason Garrison scored with 16 seconds left in overtime to lead Florida past Tampa Bay. Predators 4, Avalanche 2: In Nashville, Tennessee, Joel Ward's unassisted goal in the second period helped Nashville hand Colorado its eighth straight loss and 18th in 19 games. Blue Jackets 3, Hurricanes 2: At Raleigh, North Carolina, Steve Mason made 29 saves and Columbus' penalty-killers turned back Carolina.
