Pak dialogue n Long-term enmity, civil wars and surgical strikes between India and Pakistan will never pave the way for politico-economic stability and peace in the region. At the sidelines of the SAARC conference both India and Pakistan agreed to resume dialogue. A meeting will be held at New Delhi on March 28 and 29. The talks will be aimed at discussing counter-terrorism and narcotics control. Both the nuclear rivals are coming back to the dialogue table after a rupture in relations created in the wake of the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Realizing the regional geopolitical changes and the gravity of the problems, both the countries have agreed to revive the dialogue process. Burning issues such as Kashmir, Baglihar Dam, Wullar Barrage, Sir Creek, Siachen and terrorism will hopefully be discussed. Both nations need to be realistic and adjust to geo-economic realities in the region. A policy of accommodation, adjustment and sensitivities, besides political will, serious, comprehensive and sustained dialogue, will leave a positive impact on the chemistry of Pakistan-India relations.
