JEDDAH: The Board of Directors of Okaz Organization for Press and Publication has earmarked April 7 for its General Assembly. At its meeting Thursday, chaired by Dr. Sa'ed Al-Orabi Al-Harithy, the board's chairman, the board approved the organization's general budget and final accounts for the fiscal year 2010 to be submitted to the General Assembly for final approval. The board also reviewed some issues linked to the organization's goals and adopted decisions related to changes in the media industry. The members also considered progress and strides being made on the organization's new projects and praised the efforts of the administration and editorial staff which yielded these remarkable results. Al-Harithy also lauded the spirit of the members and their efforts in the interest of the organization. Present at the meeting was Dr. Waleed Hashim, the board's deputy chairman, and members Dr. Hamoud Al-Badr, Abdul Lateef Al-Jabr, Abdullah Kamel, Abdullah Khyyat, Dr. Tareq Fadak, Hussein Shobokshi, Dr. Waleed J. Kattan, Director General and Ahmad Sulaiman Al-Battah, the board's secretary.
