Mobily auctions ‘platinum' numbers for charity

RIYADH: Mobily telecommunications company is to put up for sale by auction 15 platinum numbers, the proceeds of which will go to 10 charities in the Kingdom.
The numbers are worth a total of SR3 million, and the first five will be open to bidding from Tuesday through Mobily's website www.mobily.com.sa\mazad in cooperation with the souq.com website, one of the Neqati program partners.
The offer will remain open to bids until April 1.
The auction of the other ten numbers will take place on Tuesday, April 5, at the Kingdom Hall at Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh, starting at 6P.M.
Mobily said that the numbers up for auction will be new to the network and that the proceeds of two will go to five charities and one “outstanding” number to the remaining charities.
Aspiring bidders are requested by Mobily to register on its site with a deposit sum of SR1,000 as security which will be returned.
The open bidding requires a registration payment of SR5,000 payable by check to Mobily company which will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Mobily further requests that all interested parties check its website page www.mobily.com.sa\mazad for information on the conditions and rules of the auction.
