Wehdah qualified for the Crown Prince Cup final against Al-Hilal after beating visitor Al-Ittifaq 3-2 in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw in Makkah Friday. Moroccan striker Yousuf Kaddioui put Wehdah in the lead after 28 minutes, but Argentinean Sbastian Tegali levelled it for Ittifaq five minutes after the break. Wehdah again shot into the lead in the 62nd minute through Moroccan midfielder Issam Erraki's spot kick. Ittifaq defender Sayyaf Al-Bishi, however, again leveld the scores 20 minutes later. Neither team managed to score against the other team in the extra 30 minutes. In the shoot-out Kaddioui, Erraki and Salman Al-Subiyani scored for Wehdah, while Adnan Fallata's kick was stopped by Ittifaq keeper Fa'iz Al-Subai'e. On the other hand Al-Jama'an and Yahiya Al-Shihri scored for Ittifaq, while Brazilian midfielder Bruno Lazaroni and his compatriot Matthaeus along with Omani defender failed to put the ball in the Wehda net. Earlier Kaddioui struck the first goal of the semifinal for Wehdah when Mohanned Aseeri managed to enter the area and send him a cheeky pass through four Ittifaq players. Tegali succeeded in leveling the score in the 49th minute when his header was foiled by Wehdah defender Suleiman Ameedo, but he succeeded in nudging it into the goal. Erraki made it 2-1 from the spot in the 61st minute. Ittifaq did not surrender and press forward with the unmarked Sayyaf Al-Bishi leveling the score for the visitors in the 81st minute. The Makkah-based club Wehdah last won the title in 1960.
