Saudi embassies achieved great success in the three-day blood donation campaign after receiving positive response of blood donors in different countries, a senior foreign ministry official said here Tuesday. Prince Khaled Bin Saud Bin Khaled, Deputy Foreign Minister foreign ministry, said the ministry organized the campaign in implementation of the directives of Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Foreign Minister. At the launching ceremony of the campaign in Riyadh, the Deputy Foriegn Minister had hoped that it reaches its humanitarian goal. “This cannot be achieved merely through financial funding but individual generosity and blood donation of individuals is required,” he said. The campaign started in four locations in Riyadh which included the ministry headquarters, the Diplomatic Institute, the Diplomatic Quarters and at the Health Center in Mohamadiyah District (for women). Foreign Ministry offices in Jeddah and Dammam and Saudi representatives abroad also opened their doors for blood donations through out the campaign. __
