Qatar's Al-Attiyah disqualified

Attiyah has been disqualified from the Rally of Mexico for a post-race irregularity with his car after finishing in seventh place Sunday. The International Automobile Federation (FIA) said in a statement that stewards had received a report from the technical delegate that a valve fitted on the fuel cell ventilation line of his Ford did not conform to the rules. Martin Prokop of the Czech Republic, also driving a Ford, moved up to seventh place with Finland's Juho Hanninen eighth for Skoda.
