JEDDAH: The Sulaiman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi Charitable Foundation has donated SR5 million to three charities in Jeddah to repair 1,500 flood-damaged homes. The Al-Rajhi foundation will sign agreements with the three charities Wednesday, said Abdulrahman Bin Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the foundation's secretary general. Al-Rajhi said the charities will also assist families after repairing their homes. He said an assessment of damages has already been completed. The foundation supports a number of social welfare initiatives inside the country, including healthcare and education centers, Dawa (Islamic call) and the building of mosques and endowments. The foundation aims to be at the forefront of charitable work.
